Lauren Conrad from MTV’s popular reality show, The Hills has admitted that sometimes they have to do reshoots of what certain events. She said that that is how reality shows are filmed in that if the camera isn’t present during certain life events that they ask her to basically do over the life event.
For example, a phone call happened between her and Brody and the cameras missed it, so they had her recreate it the following day. Basically she had to have the same conversation again. Her response is “I mean, it’s not like we are lying to anyone, it’s telling what really happened, but it’s just the way they film reality shows.”
Lauren also had to redo scenes she had with Heidi Montag when they had some tiffs. The cameras would always miss it so they’d have to redo the scenes.
“But they only set that up because it was happening off-camera,” she says.
“We were getting into these situations where we were running into [Heidi and Spencer], and [MTV] kept missing them.”
Hmmm..redoing scenes sounds a little bit like acting because you already know how things turn out - so they are pretty much acting on the redo. Sounds a little fake to me, but the real premise still remains. What do you think?
